August 03: Mahela Jayawardena’s first hundred
On This Day in 2009, Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene scored his first ODI hundred as an opening batsman. He scored 123 runs in 108 balls, with 14 fours and a six. It was recorded as his first hundred and highest score at Dambulla in ODI matches.
