On this day in 2010, Sri Lankan former captain Dinesh Chandimal made his debut in T20I matches. He played his first T20I match against New Zealand during the T20 World Cup at Providence. Chandimal made a valuable contribution on his debut. He scored 29 runs and made a 59-run partnership with Mahela Jayawardene.
