Adelaide Strikers women clinched their first ever WBBL title

On Saturday, the Adelaide Strikers women defeated the Sydney Sixers women by a score of 10 runs in the Women’s Big Bash League 2022 Finals at the Sydney Cricket Ground.After winning the toss, the Adelaide Strikers women scored 147 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Deandra Dottin was the top scorer with an unbeaten 52 runs in 37 balls. For the Sydney Sixers women, Sophie Ecclestone claimed two wickets. In reply, the Sydney Sixers women bowled them out for 137 runs in their 20 overs. Maitlan Brown scored 34 runs. For the Adelaide Strikers women, Darcie Brown and Deandra Dottin claimed two wickets each.

With that win, the Adelaide Strikers women clinched their first ever Women’s Big Bash League title. Ashleigh Gardner was named the player of the series.
