On this day in 2020, Sri Lankan under-19 team captain Nipun Dananjaya became the third Sri Lankan to reach 1000 runs in youth ODI matches after Bhanuka Rajapaksha and Avishka Fernando. At the end of his youth ODI career, Nipun Dananjaya scored 1093 runs.
