Ashwin replace the injured Axar Patel in WC squad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that R. Ashwin added to the World Cup squad as a replacement for the injured Axar Patel. Axar Patel was injured while batting in the Super Four match against Bangladesh in the ACC Asia Cup 2023. He missed the final match of the Asia Cup 2023. R. Ashwin already traveled with the team.

R. Ashiwn appeared in three World Cups, and he played two World Cups at home. He was part of the 2011 and 2015 World Cups, and he wasn’t included in the 2019 World Cup.
