Dambulla Aura registered their first win after 5 consecutive defeats

The Dambulla Aura registered a 48-run win over the Galle Gladiators in the 15th match of the Lanka Premier League on Saturday in Colombo. The Dambulla Aura captain, Dasun Shanaka, won the coin toss and chose to bowl first.

After winning the toss, Dambulla Aura scored 178 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. They had a fantastic opening partnership between Shevon Daniel and Jordan Cox. Both added 163 runs, a record breaking partnership for the first wicket. Jordan Cox scored 77 runs, and Shevon Daniel was the top scorer with 80 runs.

The Galle Gliders were bowled out for 130 runs in 19.4 overs in response. Lahiru Udara was the top scorer with 32 runs. Asad Shafiq scored 28 runs, and Iftikhar Ahmed contributed 21 runs. The Dambulla Aura bowlers kept things tight and put pressure on the Galle Gladiators. Pramod Madushan took three wickets for Dambulla Aura.
