Suzie Bates has become the first cricketer to win both the ICC women’s ODI and T20I Player of the Year awards

International Cricket Council announced the ICC Women’s ODI and T20I Player of the Year today.Based on the 12 months between September 14, 2015 and September 20, 2016. New Zealand’s Suzie Bates named the ICC Women’s ODI and T20I Player of the Year and she has become the first cricketer to win both the ICC women’s ODI and T20I Player of the Year awards.

Suzie Bates scored 472 runs in eight ODIs at an average of just over 94 and She took eight wickets in that period. Suzie Bates was the leading run scorer in T20Is with 429 runs at an average of 42.90.  Also She captained New Zealand in the ICC World T20 in India this year and she lead the side to reached the semifinals. Bates won the ICC Women’s ODI Player of the Year award in 2013.Meanwhile, Bates has also been named in the ICC Women’s Team of the Year 2016.
