Aravinda de Silva has achieved this in the Wills World Cup final in 1996 against Australia. He took 3 Wickets for 42 runs in 9 overs. He took Mark Taylor, Ricky Ponting and Ian Healy and most importantly he break the 101 runs 2nd Wicket partnership between Mark Taylor and Ricky Ponting.
Australian set a target of 242 runs for Sri Lanka to chasse and Aravinda de Silva came out to bat at the score of 2 for 23. Eventually Aravinda de Silva scored 3rd ever Hundred in a World Cup final and became the first Sri Lankan to score a Hundred in World Cup final. He made unbeaten 107 and guide the Sri Lanka to Win the first ever World Cup title.
