Australia Won the Chappell-Hadlee series
Australia beat New Zealand by 116 runs in 2nd ODI and regain Chappell-Hadlee Trophy at the Canberra. New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson won the coin toss, and elected to field first.
After lost the toss Australia were off to a steady start, with the openers contributing 68 opening runs, before Aaron Finch fell for 19 runs. Following of his dismissal Australian Captain Steven Smith came out to the middle and join with the Vice captain David Warner. Both Smith and Warner made a solid partnership for the 2nd Wicket and made 145 runs, before David Warner fell for after made his 10th ODI century. He scored 119 runs in 115 balls. In 40th over Steven Smith dismissed for 72 at the score of 248. 71 runs later in 46th over Travis Head got out after scoring 57 runs in 32 balls with the strike rate of 178. Eventually Mitchell Marsh join the party and went past his 9th half-century in ODI matches. He scored 76 runs not out in 40 balls with 2 fours and 7 sixes. With 126 runs from last 10 overs Australia scored 378 runs for lost of 5 wickets in their 50 overs and set a target of 379 runs for Kiwis.
In reply Martin Guptill off to a flyer and made 40 runs partnership for the 1st Wicket before Tom Latham fell for 4 runs. He was followed by Martin Guptill who fell for 45. Following of his dismissal James Neesham join with the New Zealand Captain Kane Williamson and made 125 runs for the 3rd Wicket, before Neesham got out for 74 runs in 31st over. 38 runs later de Grandhomme dismissed as 5th wicket. New Zealand skipper battle hard to save the the game but he was out for 81 runs in 80 balls at the score of 232.
