The West Indies complete a whitewash over South Africa
The West Indies registered an 8-wicket win over South Africa in the 3rd T20I of the series at Sabina Park in Jamaica on Sunday. South African captain Van der Dussen won the toss and opted to bat first.
After winning the toss, South Africa made 163 runs for a loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Skipper van der Dussen was the top scorer with 51 runs, and Wiaan Mulder scored 36 runs. After the dismissal of three quick wickets, Wiaan Mulder and van der Dussen made a 77-run partnership for the fifth wicket. For the West Indies, Obed McCoy claimed 3 wickets, while Shamar Joseph and Gudakesh Motie chipped in with 2 wickets each.
In reply to that, the West Indies chased down the target successfully and scored 165 runs for a loss of 2 wickets in 13.5 overs. West Indies openers Johnson Charles and Brandon King were off to a flying start and made a 92-run partnership for the first wicket. Brandon King scored 44 runs, and Johnson Charles smashed 69 runs in 26 balls. Kyle Mayers contributed with an unbeaten 36 runs.
