Pathum Nissanka nominated for the ICC player of the month

The International Cricket Council announced the ICC Men’s Player of the Month nominees for February 2024. According to the announcement, Pathum Nissanka was included in the nominees along with New Zealand Kane Willamson and Indian Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

25-year-old Pathum Nissanka became the first Sri Lankan player to score a double hundred last month. He scored an unbeaten 210 runs and 118 runs against Afghanistan in the three-match ODI series. Also, Pathum Nissanka smashed 60 runs in 30 balls until he went off the field with an injury.
