Zimbabwe registered first-ever T20I win against Pakistan

Zimbabwe registered a convincing 19 run win over Pakistan, in 2nd T20I of 3 match series, and level the series 1-1 at the Harare Sports Club, Harare on Friday. Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

Zimbabwe off shaky start as they lost skipper Brendan Taylor early in the inning. Tinashe Kamunhukamwe was the highest scorer for the Zimbabwe. He made 34 runs. Others contributed with some valuable runs. However Zimbabwe able to score 118 runs for lost of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Mohammad Hasnain and Danish Aziz claimed 2 wickets each.

In Reply that Pakistan were off to a slow start, with the openers contributing 21 opening runs. But they lost wicket regular intervals. Babar Azam was the top scorer with 41 runs. However Pakistan bowled out for 99 runs with in 19.5 overs and it claimed 19 runs win for Zimbabwe. Luke Jongwe took 4 wickets for 18 runs in his 4 overs.

This win registered as the their first-ever T20I win against Pakistan.
