Zimbabwe beat India in the low-scoring thriller

Zimbabwe registered a 13-run win over India in the 1st T20I of the series at Harare Sports Club. India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Zimbabwe managed to score 115 runs for a loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Dion Myers scored 23 runs, and Brian Bennett scored 22 runs. Zimbabwe lost wickets at regular intervals; no one was able to make a solid partnership. At the back end of the inning, Clive Madande made a valuable contribution and scored an unbeaten 29 runs. For India, Ravi Bishnoi claimed 4 wickets and registered his best bowling figures in T20I matches.

In reply to that, India bowled out for 102 runs in 19.5 overs. Shubman Gill was the top scorer with 31 runs, and Washington Sundar scored 27 runs. Avesh Khan contributed with 16 runs. Other than that, on one able to pass the double figur mark. For Zimbabwe, Tendai Chatara and Sikandar Raza claimed 3 wickets each.
