Western Province dominate the Sri Lanka squad U19 World Cup squad

After a poor performance in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023, the Sri Lanka under-19 team was ready for their next tournament, and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Sinth Jayawardene was named the captain of the side, while Malsha Tharupathi was named the vice captain. 10 players from the western province, 3 players from the southern province, and 2 players from the central province were included in the World Cup squad. Dinuka Thennakoon and Hiran Jayasundara were named as travelling reserve players.
