Twitter Reaction : Kusal Mendis’s fastest World Cup hundred

Sri Lanka made a huge total and scored 344 runs for a loss of nine wickets against Pakistan in the 8th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batter and vice captain of the team, Kusal Mendis, played a gem of an innings and made his maiden hundred in World Cup matches. He scored 122 runs on 77 balls with 14 fours and six sixes. He scored 100 runs in 65 balls, and Kusal Mendis has broken Kumar Sangakkara’s record for the fastest hundred by a Sri Lankan in ODI World Cups.
