The second day is dominated by New Zealand

At the end of the second day of the second Test match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand on Saturday in Wellington, Sri Lanka trailed by 554 runs with 8 wickets in hand.

New Zealand start their innings for the second day with 155 runs for the loss of two wickets. Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls made a 363-run partnership for the third wicket. Kane Williamson scored 215 runs while Henry Nicholls scored an unbeaten 200 runs. However, New Zealand declared their innings at 580 runs for the loss of four wickets.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost two wickets early. At the end of the day, Sri Lanka were 26 for the loss of 2 wickets. Skipper Dimuth Karunarathne made 16 runs not out at the end of the day’s play.
