Bangladesh’s opening batsman, Tamim Iqbal, steps down as Bangladesh’s ODI captain with immediate effect. Tamim will not be available for the upcoming Asia Cup due to his injury, but he will be available for the New Zealand series.

Previously, Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement from International Cricket in July of this year, and the very next day he withdrawn his decision to retire from international cricket.
