T20 World Cup will begin on June 1. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in same group
The International Cricket Council announced the first round groups for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. 20 teams were divided into 4 groups, and 5 teams were included in those groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage. In the Super 8 stage, eight teams consist of two groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group in the Super 8 will qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
First Round Groups
Group A
India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and the USA
Group B
England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman
Group C
New Zealand, the West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea
Group D
South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal
The T20 World Cup 2024 will begin on June 1, and the first match will be played between Canada and the United States of America. The two semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 will be played on June 26 and 27, while the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 will take place on June 29.
