Sri Lanka Legends qualified for the final

Sri Lanka Legends registered 14 runs win over West Indies, in 2nd Semi Final of the Road Safety World Series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on Friday. West Indies Legend Captain Brian Lara won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

After losing the toss Sri Lanka manage to score 172 runs for lost of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Ishan Jayaratne was the top scorer with 31 runs. Sanath Jayasuriya scored 26 runs. No one able build a good partnership in the middle. They lost wickets in regular intervals. For West Indies Legends Devendra Bishoo and Krishmar Santokie claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply that West Indies Legends scored 158 runs for lost of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Narsingh Deonarine was the only successful batsman and scored 63 runs in 39 balls. Dwayne Smith made 23 runs. For Sri Lanka Nuwan Kulasekara and Sanath Jayasuriya took 2 wickets each.

However Sri Lanka Legends qualified for the Road Safety World Series final.
