Shadab and Wellalage destroyed the Kandy 

Colombo Strikers registered a 51 runs win over Kandy Falcons in the 3rd match of the Lanka Premier League, 2024, at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Kandy Falcons captain Wanindu Hasaranga won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Colombo Strikers scored 198 runs for a loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Sadeera Samarawickrama was the top scorer with 48 runs, and Thisara Perera scored 38 runs. Muhammad Waseem contributed with 32 runs. At the back end of the inning, Chamika Karunarathne smashed an unbeaten 25 runs in 10 balls.

In reply to that, Kandy Falcons bowled out for 147 runs in 15.5 overs. Dinesh Chandimal was the top scorer with 38 runs, and Andre Fletcher scored 24 runs. Both Wanindu Hasaranga and Angelo Mathews scored 25 runs each. For Colombo Strikers, Shadab Khan claimed 4 wickets, including a hat trick, while Dunith Wellalage chipped in with 4 wickets.
