Scotland beats Oman and earns two points for the Super Six stage

Scotland registered a 76-run win over Oman in the 16th Match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 on Sunday at Bulawayo. Oman captain Zeeshan Maqsood  won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Scotland were bowled out for 320 runs in their 50 overs. Brandon McMullen was the top scorer with 136 runs, and skipper Richie Berrington scored 60 runs. Tomas Mackintosh contributed 32 runs, while Matthew Cross scored 27 runs. For Oman, Bilal Khan claimed five wickets.

In reply, Oman managed to score 244 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs. Naseem Khushi was the top scorer for Oman with 69 runs, while Shoaib Khan contributed 36 runs. Aqib Ilyas and Ayaan Khan scored 31 and 30 runs, respectively. For Scotland, Chris Greaves claimed five wickets.
