Rinku-Rana partnership took the game away from CSK
Kolkata Knight Riders registered a six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings in the 61st match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Sunday at Chennai. Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the coin toss and opted to bat first.
After winning the toss, the Chennai Super Kings scored 144 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Shivam Dube was the top scorer with an unbeaten 48 runs. Devon Conway scored 30 runs. For the Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunil Narine claimed two wickets for 15 runs in his four overs.
In reply to that, the Kolkata Knight Riders chased down the target successfully and scored 147 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18.3 overs. Rinku Singh scored 54 runs, and skipper Nitish Rana scored an unbeaten 57 runs. Both Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh made a 99-run partnership for the fourth wicket and took the game away from the Chennai Super Kings.
