RCB won the low-scoring thriller
Royal Challengers Bangalore registered an 18-run win over Lucknow Super Giants in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Monday at Lucknow. Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the coin toss and elected to bat first.
After winning the toss, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Skipper Faf du Plessis was the top scorer with 44 runs, while Virat Kohli scored 31 runs. Both Kohli and Du Plessis added a 62-run partnership for the first wicket. For the Lucknow Super Giants, Naveen-ul-Haq claimed three wickets.
In reply, the Lucknow Super Giants were bowled out for 108 runs in 19.5 overs. LSG lost wickets at regular intervals. Krishnappa Gowtham was the top scorer with 23 runs, and Amit Mishra scored 19 runs. For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Karn Sharma and Josh Hazlewood claimed two wickets each.
