Oman and Nepal have secured their spots in the T20 World Cup 2024

Oman and Nepal have secured their spots in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the West Indies and the United States, after reaching the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.

1st Semi-Final – Bahrain vs Oman 

Oman registered a 10-wicket win over Bahrain in the 1st semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier on Friday at Kirtipur. Bahrain batted first and scored 106 runs for a loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. In reply to that, Oman chased down in 14.2 overs without losing a wicket and scored 109 runs.

2nd Semi-Final – UAE vs Nepal

Nepal registered an 8-wicket win over the United Arab Emirates in the 2nd semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier on Friday at Mulpani. The United Arab Emirates batted first and scored 134 runs for a loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. In reply to that, Nepal chased down the target successfully and scored 135 runs for a loss of 2 wickets in 17.1 overs.

With that, Nepal made their first appearance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. This is the third time that Oman has qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. They played in the 2016 and 2021 T20 World Cups previously.
