Nida Dar is the new captain of the Pakistan women’s team
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced that they have made key appointments, which were approved by the Chair of the PCB Management Committee, Mr. Najam Sethi.
After Bismah Maroof resigned from the captaincy in February, after the team’s group-stage exit from the T20 World Cup in South Africa, the Pakistan Cricket Board named Nida Dar as the captain of the Pakistan women’s team. Nida Dar has the most wickets in women’s T20Is, with 126 in 130 matches.
In addition, PCB appointed Saleem Jaffar as the chair of the Women’s Selection Committee. 60-year-old Saleem Jaffar has played 14 Test matches and 39 ODI matches for Pakistan. PCB confirmed Mark Coles as head coach of the Pakistan women’s team.
