New Zealand won the 1st ODI against Australia

New Zealand registered a 6-run win over neighbors Australia , in 1st ODI of the Three match series, at the Auckland on Monday. Australian Captain Aaron Finch won the coin toss, and elected to bowl first

Tom Latham and Martin Guptill stared the New Zealand innings and Tom Latham dismissed for 7 at the score of 13. 74 runs later New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson out for 24 runs. Opener Martin Guptill eventually went past his half century, before falling for 61 runs. At one stage New Zealand were struggle with 134 for lost of 5 wickets. However James Neesham and Neil Broom rebuild the innings and made 76 runs partnership for the 6th wicket, before James Neesham fell for 48 runs. Neil Broom scored 73 runs in 75 balls. Eventually New Zealand made 286 runs for lost of 9 wickets in their 50 overs.

In reply that Australia were bowled out for 280 runs 47 overs. Australian off to a shaky start, as they lost three wickets within 7 overs at the score of 18. However Australian top order couldn’t build a solid partnership at the middle. At one stage they were struggle with 67 for lost of 6 wicket. After that Marcus Stoinis and James Faulkner made 81 runs partnership for the 7th wicket. Marcus Stoinis fought till the end and stared to play some big shots in the latter stage of his innings. Marcus Stoinis and Josh Hazlewood made 54 runs for the last wicket. Marcus Stoinis scored all 54 runs and unfortunately Josh Hazlewood run out, when the Australia required 7 runs to win. Marcus Stoinis scored unbeaten 146 runs in 117 balls but he couldn’t finish the game.
