New Zealand finished the year with a series win
New Zealand registered a convincing 8-wickets win over Bangladesh , in last match of the series, and won the series 3-0 at the Nelson on Saturday. Bangladesh Captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the coin toss, and elected to bat first.
As they were off to a steady start, with the openers contributing 102 opening runs, before Imrul Kayes fell for 44 runs. Since then on one able to build a big partnership in the middle. However Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal manage to score a half century and made 59 runs. Young Wicket Keeper batsman Nurul Hasan contributed with 44 runs. Finally Bangladesh manage to score 236 runs for lost 9 wickets in their 50 overs.
New Zealand were off to a shaky start, as they lost Tom Latham as the first wicket in 2nd Over. Martin Guptill made 6 before retiring hurt with a hamstring injury. After that Kane Williamson and Neil Broom made match winning 179 runs partnership for the 2nd Wicket. At the score of 195 Neil Broom dismissed for 97 runs. Following of his dismissal, James Neesham came in to middle and join with the skipper. He made 28 runs in 23 balls and Kane Williamson scored unbeaten 95 runs and they finished the game with 52 balls remaining.
New Zealand won by 8 wickets and Kane Williamson named player of the match. New Zealand finish the year with a 3-0 series win.
