Matthew Short and Mitchell Marsh took the game away from South Africa

Australia registered eight wickets over South Africa in the second T20I of the series on Friday at Kingsmead in Durban. Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, South Africa scored 164 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Skipper Aiden Markram was the top scorer with 49 runs, and Tristan Stubbs scored 27 runs. Opening batter Temba Bavuma smacked 35 runs in 17 balls. For Australia, Nathan Ellis and Sean Abbott claimed three wickets each.

In reply to that, Australia chased down the target successfully and scored 168 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 14.5 overs. Matthew Short and Mitchell Marsh added a 100-run partnership for the second wicket and took the game away from South Africa. Matthew Short scored 66 runs, and Mitchell Marsh scored an unbeaten 79 runs.
