March 10: Tharanga and Dilshan record breaking partnership

On this day in 2011, TM Dilshan and Upul Tharanga made their maiden hundred in World Cup matches. Upul Tharanga scored 133 runs while TM Dilshan scored 144 runs against Zimbabwe at Pallekele. Both Tharanga and Dilshan made a 282-run partnership for the first wicket. It’s recored as the highest 1st wicket partnership in a World Cup match. Also, it was the 2nd highest 1st wicket partnership for Sri Lanka in ODI matches.
