Lasith Malinga replace Shane Bond

Indian media report that Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga will join the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for Shane Bond, who works with MI as a fast-bowling coach. After his retirement in 2021, Lasith Malinga joined the Rajasthan Royals as their fast-bowling coach. During the 2018 season, Malinga spent his time with the Mumbai Indians as their mentor.

Since he made his debut in the IPL in 2009 for the Mumbai Indians, Lasith Malinga has played 122 IPL matches and claimed 170 wickets.
