Kusal and Avishka tested positive for COVID-19

Sri Lankan opening batsman Avishka Fernando and wicketkeeper batsman Kusal Perera tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. Both Avishka Fernando and Kusal Perera had good outings in the Sri Lanka Premier League 2023.

Sri Lanka’s squad for the Asia Cup has yet to be announced, and they have already ruled out their main pacer, Dushmantha Chameera, due to an injury.
