I wanted to hit 10 ODI hundreds, and still I’m trying for that – Dasun Shanaka

Before starting the 5th match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2023, Sri Lankan all-rounder and 2022 Asia Cup-winning captain Dasun Shanaka had an interview, and he expressed his thoughts about the T10 format and talked about himself as well.

“T10 has become the fastest format of cricket, and it’s exciting for the players and the expectants,” Dasun Shanaka expressed his thoughts about the T10 format.

“I feel that I’m a better batsman than what the stats show, so I feel I could score hundreds and more match-winning knocks for the country.” Dasun Shanaka said “When I grew up, I wanted to be an international cricketer. Once I started to play, I wanted to hit 10 ODI hundreds, and still I’m trying for that.” He added.

“When I grew up as an all-rounder, I loved the way Andrew Flintoff played, and as a leader, I liked the MS Dhoni.” Dasun Shanaka said “The way he handled the pressure situation is so precious. For me, he is the best captain I have ever seen.” Dasun Shanaka explained why he likes MS Dhoni.

Also, he mentioned his biggest achievement as a captain and said, Winning the Asia Cup in 2022 was the most memorable moment, and it was unforgetable.
