Historical win for Afghanistan

Afghanistan defeated Pakistan by six wickets on Friday in Sharjah. Pakistan captain Shadab Khan won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

After winning the toss, Pakistan manages to score 92 runs in 20 overs while losing nine wickets. Afghanistan bowlers kept things tight and put pressure on Pakistan’s batsmen. Imad Wasim was the top scorer with 18 runs. Saim Ayub scored 17 runs, while Tayyab Tahir contributed 16 runs. Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Fazalhaq Farooqi each took two wickets for Afghanistan.

In reply, Afghanistan reached the target successfully in 17.5 overs. Mohammad Nabi was the leading run-scorer with an unbeaten 38 runs, and he led the team to a historic victory.Najibullah Zadran scored an unbeaten 17 runs. Eventually Afghanistan scored 98 runs for the loss of four wickets in 17.5 overs.

With that win, Afghanistan registered their first ever win against Pakistan in a T20I match.
