Harshitha and Kavisha partnership led the platform for the win
Sri Lanka Women registered a 5-wicket win over South Africa Women in the 3rd match of the Sri Lanka Women’s Tri-Nation Series, 2025, at R. R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on Friday. Sri Lanka Women Captain Chamari Athapaththu won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing the toss, South Africa Women manage to score 235 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Annerie Dercksen was the top scorer with an unbeaten 61 runs while Lara Goodall contributed with 46 runs. Chloe Tryon scored 35 runs. For Sri Lanka Women, Malki Madara took 4 wickets, while 19-year-old debutant Dewmi Vihanga claimed 3 wickets.
In reply to that, Sri Lanka Women chased down the target successfully and scored 237 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 46.3 overs. After the dismissal of Chamari Athapaththu very early, Vishmi Gunaratne and Hasini Perera made a 69-run partnership for the 2nd wicket and led the platform for the chase. Hasini Perera scored 42 runs. Kavisha Dilhari was the top scorer with 77 runs, and Kavisha Dilhari scored 61 runs. Both Harshitha and Kavisha made 128 runs in a solid partnership for the 4th wicket.
