England won the close match against Australia

England registered 8 runs win over homeside Australia , in 1st T20I of the series at the Perth on Friday . Australia Captain Aaron Finch won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

After losing the toss England posed a huge target infront of Australia. They made 208 runs for lost of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales set the platform for the England with 132 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. Buttler dismissed for 68 runs. Alex Hales was the top scorer with 84 runs. For Australia Nathan Ellis was the only successful bowler, he claimed 3 wickets for 20 runs.

In reply that Australia made 200 for lost of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. After the lost of 1st wicket cheaply David Warner and Mitchell Marsh made 71 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Marsh and Stoinis made 36 and 35 respectively. David Warner was the top scorer with 73 runs.
