England registered a comfortable win against Bangladesh

England registered a 137-run win over Bangladesh in the 7th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, England scored 364 runs for a loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs. Dawid Malan was the top scorer with 140 runs, while Joe Root scored 82 runs. Jonny Bairstow contributed 52 runs. Bairstow and Malan made a 115-run partnership for the first wicket, while Malan and Root added 151 runs for the second wicket. For Bangladesh, Mahedi Hasan claimed four wickets.

In reply to that, Bangladesh bowled out 227 runs in 48.2 overs. Opening batter Litton Das was the top scorer with 76 runs, and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 51 runs. Both Rahim and Litton Das made a 72-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Towhid Hridoy contributed 39 runs. For England, Reece Topley claimed four wickets.
