Tour Match: Leicestershire v Sri Lankans at Leicester
Sri Lanka played their second practice match against Leicestershire. match ended up with a draw.
Sri Lanka have the toss and they decided to bat first. But Sri Lankan couldn’t able to start well. Dimuth Karunarathne out for duck in first Over.Then young Kusal Mendis comes out middle and he put on 100 runs partnership with Kaushal Silva. That 100 runs partnership broken when Kaushal got out for 38. Then the Sri Lanka wicket start to tumble. At one stage Sri Lanka were 192 for 8. After that Rangana Herath and Dasun Shanaka built the Sri Lanka Innings and they put 174 runs partnership for the 9th Wicket. Finaly Sri Lanka able to score 367 runs.
When the Leicestershire reply they declared their Inning 375 for 5. Michael Burgess scored 98 and Tom Wells made 87.Rangana Herath and Milinda Siriwardane took 2 wickets each.
Sri Lanka began their 2nd Innings 8 runs behind and Sri Lankan openers made a good opening partnership. At the end of the Day Sri Lanka were 200 for 4. Dimuth Karunarathne scored 100 and retired.
