Delhi Capitals beats LSG comfortably
Delhi Capitals registered a six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday. Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first.
After winning the toss, the Lucknow Super Giants scored 167 runs for a loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. After a flying start, Lucknow lost wickets at regular intervals. Skipper KL Rahul scored 39 runs, and Quinton de Kock scored 19 runs. At the back end of the inning, Ayush Badoni made a valuable contribution and scored an unbeaten 55 runs in 35 balls. For the Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep Yadav claimed three wickets for 20 runs.
In reply to that, the Delhi Capitals chased down the target successfully and scored 170 runs for a loss of 4 wickets in 18.1 overs. Prithvi Shaw scored 32 runs. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Rishabh Pant made a 77-run partnership and took the game away from LSG. Jake Fraser-McGurk was the top scorer with 55 runs, while Rishabh Pant made 41 runs.
