Dinesh Chandimal made his debut in Test matches

In 26th of December 2011, Sri Lankan Test captain Dinesh Chandimal made his debut in Test matches in the second Test of the series against South Africa in Durban. He was the 122nd Sri Lankan to represent Sri Lanka in Test Matches. Dinesh Chandimal scored 58 and 54 runs on his debut match and became the first Sri Lankan batsman to score half centuries in both innings on Test debut.

Tharindu Kaushal made his debut in Test matches

In 26th of December 2014, Sri Lankan offspinner Tharindu Kaushal made his debut for Sri Lanka against New Zealand in Christchurch. He was the 128th player to play for Sri Lanka in Test format. Tharindu Kaushal claimed 2 wickets in his debut match. He took Brendon McCullum as his first Test wicket.
