In 2013, Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara passed 12000 runs in ODI matches when he reached 29 in 2nd ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He achieved that milestone in 336 innings and became the 3rd fastest to do so. Also Kumar Sangakkara became the 2nd Sri Lankan and 3rd overall player to passed 12 000 runs in ODI matches.
