Dasun Shanaka is in, and Janith Liyanage is out of the T20I squad

Sri Lanka Cricket announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. Wanindu Hasaranga is named the captain of the side, while Charith Asalanka works as the vice captain.

Dhananjaya de Silva, Kusal Perera, and Angelo Mathews were included in the squad. Former captain Dasun Shanaka, who was bropped in the ODI series, was brought back into the T20I squad, while in-form Janith Liyanage was dropped from the T20I squad. Dushmantha Chameera was selected but will not play as he is recovering from the injury, and Binura Fernando came in place of Chameera.
