Dambulla won the low-scoring game

Dambulla Aura registered a 9-run win over Jaffna Kings in the 11th match of the Lanka Premier League 2023 on Monday at Pallekele. The Jaffna Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Dambulla Aura managed to score 134 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. Kusal Perera was the top scorer with 41 runs, and Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 30 runs. Hayden Kerr contributed with an unbeaten 25 runs. For the Jaffna Kings, Shoaib Malik and Nuwan Thushara claimed two wickets each.

In reply to that, the Jaffna Kings scored 125 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. Shoaib Malik was the only successful batsman for Jaffna and scored an unbeaten 74 runs in 53 balls. Dunith Wellalage contributed 16 runs. Other than that, no one was able to reach the double-figure mark. For Dambulla, Aura Hasan Ali picked up three wickets.
