Chamari Athapaththu in front of a milestone

The first ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka’s Women’s team and New Zealand’s Women’s team will begin on Tuesday, July 26th. All the matches of the series are included in the ICC Women’s Championship, and all the matches will be played at Galle.

Sri Lankan women’s team captain Chamari Athapaththu in front of a big milestone Chamari Athapaththu has scored 2951 runs in women’s ODI matches. She is the leading run scorer for Sri Lanka. Chamari Athapaththu needs another 49 runs to reach the 3000-run milestone in women’s ODI matches, and she will become the first Sri Lankan woman player to do so. Still, only 24 players have scored 3,000 runs more in Women’s ODI matches.
