Australia start the series with a big win

Australians registered a convincing 68-run win over neighbors New Zealand, in 1st ODI of the Three match series, at the Sydney on Sunday. Australian Captain Steven Smith won the coin toss, and elected to bat first.

Australian were off to a shaky start, as they lost Aaron Finch in the third bowl of the 1st over. At the score of 47 and 89 Australia lost their 2nd and 3rd Wickets. Unfortunately Mitchell Marsh run out for just 1 run at the score of 92. Following of his dismissal, Travis Head came in to middle and join with the Aussies Skipper Steven Smith. Both Smith and Head made a solid partnership for the 5th Wicket and made 127 runs, before Travis Head fell for 52 runs.83 runs later in 48th over Steven Smith got out after playing a captain Knock. He made his 7th ODI century and scored 164 runs in 157 balls. At the end of their 50 overs Australian scored 324 runs for lost of 8 wickets and set a target of 325 runs for Kiwis.

 New Zealand ­openers couldn’t able to build a solid Opening Partnership and Tom Latham dismissed early. Following of Latham’s dismissal, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson fell for single figures. Then the Neesham join with Guptill and add 92 runs for the 3rd wicket and make New Zealand hopes alive. At the score of 140 Kiwis lost their 4th wicket and BJ Watling departs for 6 runs. For New Zealand, it was Martin Guptill, who was the top scorer with 114 runs. However, it was Colin Munro who managed to contribute 49 good runs, before falling to Pat Cummings in the 44th over as the 9th Wicket of New Zealand team at the score of 255. In the 45th over New Zealand lost their last wicket for 256. It clam a respectable 68 runs win for Home side.
