Australia Leading the way at the end of the first day of the test match on Wednesday at Indore, India captain Rohit Sharma won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

After winning the toss, India hasn’t had a good start. They lost their top order cheaply. Virat Kohli was the top scorer with 22 runs, and Shubman Gill scored 21 runs. Srikar Bharat and Umesh Yadav each contributed 17 runs. For Australia, Matthew Kuhnemann claimed 5 wickets, and Nathan Lyon took 3 wickets. Eventually, India were bowled out for 109 runs in 33.2 overs in their first innings.

Australia’s first wicket fell early in their response. After that, Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne made a 96-run partnership for the 2nd wicket and rebuilt the innings. Usman Khawaja was the top scorer with 60 runs, and Labuschagne scored 31 runs. At the end of the day, Australia scored 156 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, and they lead by 47 runs.
