Angelo Mathews will replace Matheesha Pathirana

Sri Lankan media report that Sri Lanka’s most experienced player, Angelo Mathews, will join the Sri Lanka squad for the remainder of the 2023 World Cup as a replacement for young pacer Matheesha Pathirana.

35-year-old Angelo Mathews was not included in the Sri Lanka World Cup squad; later, he was brought back into the team as a travel reserve player.
