A solid reply from Pakistan against Australia
At the end of the second day of the 1st Test match between Australia and Pakistan on Friday in Perth, Pakistan trailed by 355 runs with 8 wickets in hand.
Australia started the second day of the Test match with 346 runs for a loss of five wickets. However, after that, Australia bowled out 487 runs. Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey made 90-run partnership for the six wickets. Mitchell Marsh was the star with the bat on day two and scored 90 runs. For Pakistan, Aamer Jamal claimed six wickets.
In reply to that, Pakistan were off to a solid start, and Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq made a 74-run partnership for the first wicket until Abdullah Shafique was dismissed for 42 runs. 49 runs later, skipper Shan Masood was caught by Alex Carey for 30 runs. At the end of the day, Pakistan scored 132 runs for a loss of 2 wickets. Imam-ul-Haq stayed not out on 42 runs, while Khurram Shahzad was unbeaten on 7 runs at the end of the day’s play.
