Brydon Carse will join the England team ahead of match against Sri Lanka
The England Cricket Board announced that Brydon Carse will replace injured Reece Topley in the squad for the remainder of the 2023 World Cup. Reece Topley got a fracture in his left index finger during the match against South Africa while fielding a ball off his own bowl. After that, he was ruled out of the World Cup squad.
28-year-old Brydon Carse will join the England team ahead of their next match against Sri Lanka on Thursday in Bangalore. He has played 12 ODI matches and claimed 14 wickets.
