SLC has lifted the ban on Danushka Gunathilaka
Sri Lanka Cricket announced that an independent inquiry committee appointed by SLC, which was tasked with investigating the impact of the criminal allegations against Danishka Gunathilaka in Australia, has recommended a full lifting of the ban imposed on him in November 2022.
Danishka Gunathilaka was arrested and charged with alleged sexual assault in Australia during the 2022 T20 World Cup. However, on September 20, 2023, Danushka Gunathilaka was found not guilty of sexual assault by a Sydney judge.
