Sri Lankan spinning legend Muttiah Muralidaran picked his favorite spinners for the 2023 World Cup during an interview with Star Sports. He named Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and Sri Lankan mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana as his favorite spinners for the 2023 World Cup.

Murali said that he admires Rashid Khan’s bowling and that he is a little different than others. Also Muralidaran named Theekshana and said he has a “carrom ball” like Mendis and something special.
“Spinners will do well because of the longer format, and everyone will play at least two spinners in the side”. Muttiah Muralidaran said “Indian pitches will help a little bit with spin. They can dominate because you have 10 overs, not like T20 four overs. he added.
“Captains will use spinners a lot in this World Cup. We are not playing in England, Australia, New Zealand, or any other country. Its subcontinent.”Muralidaran extends his explanation.
